From a table to your first branded PDF in three steps.
You set it up once. After that it is paste-a-token, tick-some-boxes, click. Most people are downloading a real document in under five minutes.
-
Step 1
Connect table
Paste your table's URL and a read-only API token. BaserowPDF pulls the
table idout of the URL for you and validates the pair on the spot. -
Step 2
Customize Template
Set the row heading, then tick and drag the fields to include. Add a logo, brand name, accent color and footer; pick portrait or landscape. The real PDF renders beside the form and refreshes as you edit, with no guessing at the output. One template per connected table.
-
Step 3
Generate
One click for a single row, or select up to 50 and let the batch run, one file at a time, with a progress bar and per-row errors.
Set it up once. Reuse it every time.
Connect your table, expand Branding and Fields to shape the PDF, then search and export from a batch runner. Slide through all three below.
The part a generic PDF exporter gets wrong.
A PDF-from-webhook tool flattens your data to plain text. BaserowPDF reads each Baserow field type and renders it the way Baserow shows it.
Select & multi-select pills
Single and multiple select fields render as colored pills, pulled from Baserow's own color palette: every hue and shade, no manual re-styling.
tags: urgent, client
Linked records become a real sub-table
Linked rows are fetched from the other table and laid out as an actual sub-table: primary field plus the first few columns, capped at ten rows, not a list of IDs.
Attachments embed as images
The first image attachment is downscaled and placed in the document; the rest are listed by filename.
Every other type has a defined rendering
Numbers, ratings, dates, durations, booleans, formulas and rollups each map to a considered output. An unknown field type degrades to readable text; it never crashes the render.
Your Baserow token, handled carefully.
You create the token read-only and database-scoped (we tell you how), and from there it never leaves our server in a form anyone can read.
Read-only, database-scoped. The connect flow advises exactly this scope. BaserowPDF only ever reads rows and field definitions.
Encrypted at rest with libsodium. Stored with
sodium_crypto_secretbox, the key kept outside the web root.Never logged, never echoed. It is stripped from error output and never sent back to the browser after you paste it.
Encrypted in transit, always. Every request between you, BaserowPDF and Baserow runs over HTTPS/TLS.
Delete your account and it is gone. The connection row and its token are removed on the spot, by cascade.
Questions, answered plainly.
Is it really free?
Yes. 100% free, no credit card, no hidden tiers. BaserowPDF is an early tool building a base of founding users. If a paid plan ever appears it will be for new capabilities on top, and the people already using it hear about it first.
What does BaserowPDF do with my API token?
It reads rows and field definitions from the one table you connect, nothing else. The token is encrypted at rest with libsodium, never written to logs, and never returned to the browser. Create it read-only and database-scoped; the connect form walks you through it.
Does it work with self-hosted Baserow?
Yes, via a configurable API base URL on the connect form. Hosted baserow.io is the primary, most-tested path, but a self-hosted instance that speaks the same API works.
Can I have more than one template or table?
One connected table with one template at a time. Connecting a new table replaces the active one. Multiple templates and tables are a known next step, not a hidden setting.
How many PDFs can I generate?
Up to 50 rows in one batch, and 120 PDFs per hour overall. Enough for real work, with limits that keep a free service fair for everyone.
Do you store the PDFs you generate?
No. Each PDF streams to your browser and is gone. We log that a generation happened and how long it took, never the document itself.
Can I trigger generation from a Baserow webhook?
Not yet. Webhook and scheduled generation are on the roadmap, deliberately deferred so the core flow stays solid first. Today it is one click per row, or a batch you start yourself.
What happens with a field type you don't support?
It falls back to a readable text version of the value. A new or unusual field type will never produce a blank page or a crashed render.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It is a hosted web app. Sign in with Google or email, connect your table, and generate. Nothing to deploy, nothing to keep running.
